family support iconThe Intensive Flexible Family Support Services (IFFS) program provides time-limited, specialized services for families experiencing significant challenges surrounding their child in need.  The primary goal of the program is to help maintain the integrity of a family experiencing severe stress which may cause the child to be at risk for out-of-home placement. The range of supports available through IFFS is extensive and may include assistance with navigating the special education system, coordination of medical services, accessing in-home behavioral supports, training and educational services, access to housing, transportation and other community resources, as well as education and training for parents and caregivers in how to better cope with issues. While working with the family, the IFFS Coordinator’s main goal is to provide the foundation necessary for the family to continue accessing services on their own incorporating natural supports whenever possible once the IFFS service ends, typically 6-12 months.
