HR Manager – $2500 SIGN ON BONUS INCLUDED
Delta Projects is looking for a Human Resources Manager who is responsible for managing a range of activities related to employee/labor relations, workers compensation, recruitment and training. This role reports to the Director of Human Resources and oversees a 3-person HR Admin/Recruitment Coordinator/Training team. Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and customer service in a fast-paced environment are required to meet deadlines. This position requires compliance with HR policies, regulations, laws, and other procedures; delivers excellent customer service, emphasizing communication. The position is hybrid, allowing you to work two days from home and three days in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise HR Admin staff in recruiting, training and HR administration functions
- Design and implement Agency Recruitment Plan to attract and recruit top talent
- Identify urgent staffing needs through ongoing communication with managers
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies and manage a potentially large volume of candidates
- Manage tracking and reporting for recruiting metrics
- Coordinate, manage and track all training demands of the organization, including New Hire Orientation; develop and implement relevant and informative trainings
- With HR Director, assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
- Administer various HR policies and procedures for all organization personnel
- Provide guidance to staff and supervisors on employee relations issues, performance management and complaints/concerns; escalate complex or sensitive issues to the Director of Human Resources
- Manage Workers Compensation process including document submission and communication with the employee, medical team and insurance provider; document leave and restriction status in conjunction with the director of Human Resources and the employee’s supervisor
- Ensure compliance with USCIS form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audit Forms I-9
- Assist in evaluation of HR department’s performance in relation to established goals
- Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvement in HR department and services performed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field/discipline or three to five years related experience
- PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resources Management – Certified Professional) certification preferred
- Experience managing human resources functions including personnel, compensation and recruiting
- Successful track record of recruiting and retaining a diverse team
- Ability to set clear priorities, delegate and guide investment in people and systems;
- Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills, which support and enable sound decision making
- Ability to build a strong rapport with employees
- Professional presentation and communication skills and the experience and proclivity to be an outgoing spokesperson and relationship builder
- Strong interpersonal counseling and conflict resolution skills
- Strong commitment to the professional development of staff
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, regulations and policies as they relate to the administrative and human resource management of non-profit organizations
- Professional oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Qualifying criminal background
