Adult Residential

Delta Projects provides 24-hour residential supports to adults with intellectual disabilities and other developmental disabilities. Residential models are individualized to address the needs of each individual and allow a person with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to live in a residential setting while receiving the intensive services necessary for successful long-term stability. Most of the people supported by Delta Projects live in homes with two to four housemates.

Delta staff assist people in becoming more independent in their home, in their community and work with people on skills such as cooking, money management, decision making and relationship development.

The most important supportive service needs for individuals may include:

  • Clinical - Clinical consultation occurs at the program with the Coordinator and residential staff to evaluate and assess implementation of the Behavior Programs and data collection systems. The supported individuals are also provided with individual therapy as needed.
  • Case Management - Plans are developed and reviewed in a team process that include a Delta staff coordinator, residential and day program staff, job coach and a Department of Developmental Services coordinator and any other involved professionals, individual or family member.
  • Emergency Services - A well-developed emergency on call system is at work 24 hrs/day 7 days/wk.
  • Vocational Supports - Employment that is integrated into the community.
  • Health Coordination Services - Registered Nurses are assigned responsibility for specific homes with a primary objective of safeguarding the health and well being of individuals supported by the agency. Nurses provide oversight of MAP compliance within the homes, training for individuals and staff in specific health related issues, monitor follow through on Health Care Provider recommendations and serve as a liaison with physicians and DDS nurses as well as a resource to staff.
