Delta Projects serves approximately 80 adults and over 90 children with
mental retardation and other developmental disabilities within adult residential,
adult transitional housing, adult employment supports and children’s
after school and respite programs.
The agency specializes in supporting people who have a history of significant behavioral challenges. Delta Projects has a policy of non-rejection as a core organizational value. This means that the agency is committed to providing people with whatever level of supports are necessary to see them through difficult periods in their lives. Typically this has involved intensifying supports in response to behavioral or health-related issues.
Delta Projects recognizes and values the ethnic and cultural diversity of each individual and is fortunate to have a diverse cultural composition of staff and people supported. Currently, Delta Projects has the capability to support people (and their family members) whose primary languages include English, Spanish, Creole and American Sign Language.
