Delta offers a wide array of employee benefits, including:

HEALTH AND DENTAL INSURANCE

Regular full-time and part-time employees working at least 30 hours per week who successfully complete three calendar months of employment are eligible for health and dental insurance benefits. This cost is shared between Delta Projects, Inc. and the employee.

LIFE INSURANCE

Life insurance is provided at no cost to employees who regularly work at least 30 hours per week and who have completed at least three calendar months of employment. Delta Projects, Inc. provides a comprehensive life insurance program

SHORT TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE

A voluntary plan if offered for all regular full-time and part-time employees who work at least 30 hours per week and who have completed at least three calendar months of employment.

EARNED TIME (Vacation and Holiday)

Full-time employees and part-time employees working a regularly scheduled twenty (20) hours or more per week earn paid time off which includes both vacation and holidays. Employees who work less than 20 hours per week are not eligible for earned time.

SICK LEAVE

Staff working more than 20 hours per week are eligible for paid sick leave. Employees working less than twenty (20) hours per week are not eligible for sick leave.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROGRAMS

Certain educational programs are mandatory, while others are voluntary. All Delta Projects, Inc. direct support employees are required to be trained in Medication Administration, First Aid/CPR, and Non-Violent Behavioral Management Techniques. Human Rights and Fire Safety Officers are required to attend training in those areas. Delta Projects, Inc. will continue to provide, without cost to the employee, up-to-date techniques and methods that will assist employees in maintaining the highest standards.

COLLEGE TUITION ASSISTANCE

As an employee of DPI, you may be eligible for tuition remission at an undergraduate state college or university. In order to be eligible, you must be currently employed Delta Projects at least 30 hours a week, have completed six months of employment with DPI, and have been admitted to an eligible state-supported course at a community college, state college or University of Massachusetts.

There is also a Human Service Certificate Program funded by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation which accepts a limited number of qualified applicants each year. If you are accepted into this program, it covers the cost of tuition and fees at participating community colleges, and includes a bonus for successful completion of the program.
