Delta Projects provides 24-hour residential
supports to adults with mental retardation and other developmental
disabilities. Residential models are individualized to address the
needs of each individual and allow a person with mental retardation
the opportunity to live in a residential setting while receiving the
intensive services necessary for successful long-term stability. Most
of the people supported by Delta Projects live in homes with two to
four housemates.
Delta Staff assist people in becoming more independent in their
home, in their community and work with people on skills such as
cooking, money management, decision making and relationship development
The most important supportive service needs for individuals may
include:
- Clinical – Clinical consultation occurs
at the program with the Coordinator and residential staff to evaluate
and assess implementation of the Behavior Programs and data collection
systems. The supported individuals are also provided with individual
therapy as needed.
- Case Management – Plans are developed
and reviewed in a team process that include Delta staff’s
Coordinator, residential and day program staff, job coach and
DMR Service coordinator and any other involved professional, individual
or family member.
- Emergency Services – well-developed
emergency on call system is at work 24 hrs/day 7 days/wk
- Vocational Supports – Employment that
is integrated into the community
