EVERYONE WOULD PAY UNION DUES

Some employees think that if they do not want the union then they would not have to pay union dues if the union wins the election. That’s wrong.

This union has a “Union Security” clause in its contracts. A Union Security clause requires every employee in the bargaining unit to pay union dues or be fired. That’s right—you pay union dues or you can be fired.

And you have to pay union dues even if you voted against the union or did not vote or do not want the union to represent you. That may not seem fair, but that’s the way it is with the union’s union security clause.

Union dues can cost you hundreds of dollars a year.

Union dues are 1-1/2% of your non-overtime earnings. That can be $300-$750 a year or more, depending on how much you earn.

And union dues come out of your take-home pay. Union dues are just like another tax—a union tax.

If you want to keep all of your pay for you and your family, then…
