Dear Delta Employee,
As you may know a labor union (SEIU Local 509) has petitioned the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to seek to represent Delta Projects employees. An election has been scheduled to determine if you want to be represented by the union.
If you work as a direct support professional, instructor, senior instructor, job coach, nurse, facilities/maintenance worker or behavioral clinician you are eligible to vote. The voting will take place by mail ballot. A ballot will be mailed to your home by the NLRB on February 22. It will also contain instructions on the easy process to vote. The election is a secret ballot election—no one will know how you voted unless you tell them. We encourage everyone to vote because the outcome of the election will affect everyone. in your work at Delta. Just because you may have signed a card, you are not obligated to vote for the Union. You are free to vote “NO” in the election.
Everyone should vote. DON’T LET SOMEONE ELSE MAKE THIS IMPORTANT DECISION FOR YOU We think that a union is unnecessary here. We encourage everyone to vote “NO.”
Delta representatives will be meeting with employees at their workplace, scheduling informational sessions and sending flyers out for you to review. We are also preparing a link from our web site to information that is intended to help you make the decision that is best for you and your family. If union organizers come to your home you can treat them like any other sales rep: you do not need to speak with them or let them into your home.. For the safety and privacy of the individuals who live in our group homes, non-Delta employees are not access to the group homes.
Thanks for your attention to this matter.
